Announcement: Substack App and Notes

Hey everyone! I’m a little bit slow on the uptake, but I wanted to let you know about a couple features that Substack has developed over the last several months.

Substack now has an App!

When you download the app, you can read Grounded in the Bible and any other Substack newsletter you subscribe to right there in the app. Your newsletters will no longer get lost in your email inbox! (Although you can still receive them in your email if you would like.) And the best part is that because Substack is funded by paid subscriptions, the Substack app isn’t overloaded with ads like other social media platforms.

One feature of the Substack app that I’ve been trying to experiment with a bit lately is Notes. Notes is a way for writers to recommend other things they’ve been reading or highlight parts of their own posts, and readers can see what their favorite writers are recommending. This helps you connect with other newsletters that might be interesting to you.

I’d encourage you to check out the app for yourself. There are other features that I haven’t explored much yet, but maybe you will love them!
