Lot was surely named "Sodoma's Father of the Year" !!!
....“No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof....
Is this what you teach to your kids...(daughters included)?
I am stunned that any "rational" person in this century embraces biblical texts and tries to make them look as something moral and beautiful, predtending that that a magical powefull wicked, hateful, revengful, misogynist, proud bully living in the sky "loves us"...you deserve Donald Trump as your president.
Kind regards from a proud male heterosexual brigth moral person.
If you read my comments on that part of the text, you see that I absolutely do not condone Lot's actions to give the men his daughters. It certainly isn't moral and beautiful! It shows the wickedness of humans and the depraved things we do when we get to the end of our rope.
You will also see that I talk about two opposite but complementary characteristics of God: God is both wrathful toward sin, which is why he destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, and he is kind toward the righteous (i.e., those who follow him), even when the righteous aren't perfect (as demonstrated when he saved Lot and his family).
The only hate from God I ever see in the Bible is hatred and wrath toward sin and those who reject him. In fact, the Bible overwhelmingly supports God's patience in holding back his wrath so that as many people as possible can repent and turn to him (2 Peter 3:9). The Bible also says that God takes no pleasure in destroying the wicked (Ezekiel 33:11). Instead, he desires their repentance.
