You voted a couple months ago, and now it’s finally here! We are ready to start our next Bible Essentials series, focused on stories in Genesis. If you are new or need a reminder of what the Bible Essentials series is all about, you can read this post:
Genesis only focuses on a few key people, but those few people are covered extensively over multiple chapters. And they’ve got some pretty amazing stories! We won’t cover every story, because the series is already long enough as it is, but we’ll try to cover most of them. Many of the key characters we will cover over more than one week. Between the major characters, we will return to our Characteristics of God series to focus on a few characteristics that are essential to our understanding of the stories in Genesis.
Note that several lessons are repeats of lessons from the first Bible Essentials series. I will link to these repeated lessons in the most closely associated new lesson from this series (Substack doesn’t have a way for me to re-send past posts). If you are a new subscriber since the first series was published, I encourage you to read these lessons to get the whole scope of the study. And of course, long-time subscribers are welcome to read them again!

This will take us well into 2024, but I think it will be a great series to study how God interacts with his people. I hope you’ll join me for the journey!
