Welcome to 2025 (almost)!!
At the end of every year (or beginning of the new year), I like to take a week to reflect on the studies we’ve covered in the past year and look forward to what we will learn in the new year. This helps those of you who are newer subscribers catch up on past studies and gives everyone a glimpse of upcoming studies.
Coming Up in 2025
I want to start with what is coming up next year because it includes a poll that I don’t want you to miss. I have a lot of ideas for studies but haven’t settled on what’s next yet, so I want to hear from you about what sounds most interesting. What do you want to learn from the Bible this year? Please take this poll and vote for what study we tackle next! This poll only lasts for 1 week, so vote now before you forget!
If you have other ideas for Bible studies, I’m open to ideas! Feel free to respond to this post with a comment or email and let me know your thoughts and interests.
In 2025, I also hope to tackle a couple of side projects in addition to my main Bible study writing. Possibilities include adding another course or two on prayer and/or Bible reading and converting some of my older studies into books that can be purchased on Amazon for personal or group study. We’ll see what God leads me to do first!
I’m also thinking about adding an audio option for future Bible studies for those of you who prefer to listen rather than read. Please vote below to let me know your interest in this feature. This will help me know whether it is worth my time to offer this added feature. Thanks for voting! (Note: This would NOT be an AI voice recording. This would be me recording the studies personally.)
Review of Studies in 2024
We started 2024 by finishing up the Bible Essential series of Stories in Genesis that we started in 2023:
We’ve looked at several Characteristics of God this year, including God is Faithful, God is a Provider, and God is Love.
One of my favorite studies we’ve done this year (and the one that was most personally meaningful to me) is a word study about Remaining in Christ:
And now, we are currently going through a series about the “One Another” commands throughout the Bible.
Special Series in 2024
In 2024, we also launched a couple special series for paid subscribers. The first is the James Method Verse Mapping, which is something I do in my personal devotions.
Then I also released a course called The Christian Response to LGBTQ: Turning My Story into God’s Glory. If you know anyone who claims an LGBTQ identity or if you claim one of those identities for yourself, this course will help you process some of your feelings and thoughts and struggles and reactions.
It’s been a great year, and these studies have helped me learn and grow in my own walk with Christ. I hope they’ve done the same for you! Let’s continue to grow as we head into 2025!
In Christ,
Karen
